Biography and Timeline
Benjamin Pribble was born in Maryland around 1779. Benjamin and Lucretia Marshall were married in Bracken County, Kentucky on April 4th, 1800. Benjamin and his family left Kentucky and moved to Pickaway County, Ohio in 1807. About ten years later, they moved to Jefferson Township in Preble County, Ohio, where they remained for the rest of their lives. Benjamin received a U.S. land patent through the Cincinnati Land Office in 1825 for 80 acres located in Jefferson Township. This land was sold at public auction in 1838 after he died.
Lucretia died in 1826 in Preble County. Benjamin married his second wife, Elizabeth Sleppy, on August 31st, 1833 in Preble County. They had two children together, Amelia M. and Perry O.H. Pribble, before Benjamin died on November 23rd, 1837.
