South Pacific 2007

Sun Princess In September of 2007, Tom and his wife flew to Seattle and boarded the Sun Princess (photo on the right) for a 30 day cruise across the South Pacific to Sydney, Australia. After a brief stop in San Francisco, they started their journey across the Pacific to Hawaii. About half way there, at 4:00am in the morning, the ship lost all power, floating eerily at sea. Two hours later, power was restored and the journey resumed. On their way to Sydney, stops were made to visit the following islands: Hawaii, Maui, Bora Bora, Tahiti, Rarotonga (Cook Islands), American Samoa, and Fiji. Three stops were also made in New Zealand before arriving in Sydney for three more days of sightseeing, including a trip out to the Blue Mountains National Park.
