London 2005
In March of 2005, Tom and his wife traveled to London for one week to see all the sights. It was a bit gloomy that time of year, but they still had a good time. They stayed at a nice hotel next to the Tower Bridge and quickly learned how to ride the underground "tube" and the double-decker red buses to get around town. They got to see all the famous sights: Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and Harrods. They browsed through the National Gallery and the Tate Modern Art Museum. In the evenings, they enjoyed the theatre, seeing "The Woman in White", "We Will Rock You", and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". Being big Beatles fans, they traveled up to the city of Westminster to see the famous Abbey Road. They took a bus tour outside of London to see Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Salisbury Cathedral. On their last day, they visited the Tower of London, once a dreaded prison where some lost their head.
