Ireland Scotland 2013

In May of 2013, Tom and Iris flew to Dublin, Ireland, to celebrate Iris's 60th birthday. Unfortunately, on the 2nd day, while exploring Dublin, Iris slipped on wet cobble stones and fractured her left arm. After spending a few hours at St. Vincent's Hospital and a trip to a pharmacy for pain pills, we joined our Insight Vacations tour group for a two week tour of Ireland and Scotland. Both Ireland and Scotland are beautiful countries, and it would have been a wonderful trip if it weren't for the broken arm and the bad weather. With Iris being left handed, Tom had to learn how to make a ponytail and how to fasten a bra strap (he learned how to unfasten one many years ago in college). They did have an excellent tour guide and driver, Michael and Tom (photo on right).
