Baltic Sea 2002
Getting their passports for the first time, Tom and his wife traveled to London in July of 2002 for a two week cruise on the Constellation, one of Celebrity Cruises largest ships. Embarcation was in Dover, location of the famous white cliffs along the English Channel. They first stopped across the channel at Le Havre, France, for a quick tour of Paris, before heading north to the Baltic Sea. Stops were made to visit the following cities: Oslo (Norway), Copenhagen (Denmark), Rostok (Germany), Tallinn (Estonia), St. Petersburg (Russia), Helsinki (Finland), and Stockholm (Sweden). The highlight of the trip was a full day trip to Moscow via a commercial Russian airline. In Moscow, they experienced Red Square and the Kremlin (picture on the right). They rode on the Moscow metro with it's beautifully decorated stations. They dined at one of Stalin's favorite places, sampling some Russian caviar and really good vodka.
