Alaska 2001
Tom and his wife celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in June of 2001 with a seven day Alaskan cruise. They booked a cruise with Princess Cruises and flew to Anchorage to board the Ocean Princess (picture on the right), docked at Seward, Alaska. Leaving Seward, they enjoyed scenic glacier-viewing from the ship through College Fjord and Glacier Bay National Park. In Skagway, they took a train ride through the scenic mountains to the White Pass summit. In Juneau, they took an exciting helicopter tour and actually landed and walked on the famous Mendenhall Glacier. In Ketchikan, they toured the historic areas in a horse-drawn trolley. After seven days of fun and good food, they disembarked in Vancouver, British Columbia, and flew back home.
