He was a Quaker after 30 June 1810 in Fairfield Meeting House, Leesburg, Highland County, Ohio. Thomas died on 26 January 1824 at the age of 52 in Highland County, Ohio. He signed a will on 26 January 1824 in Highland County, Ohio. He had his estate probated on 10 May 1824 in Highland County, Ohio.

Ann Ratcliff and Thomas Cashatt were married on 10 April 1794 at Cane Creek Monthly Meeting in Snow Camp, Almance County, North Carolina. Their marriage date has also been found as 10 Mar 1784.
